In 2011/12, as part of a Government of Nunavut (GN) Tamapta initiative, Service Open2Learn was contracted to undertake an “Analysis of Breakfast Programming in Nunavut”, to explore potential models and implementation costs for expanded breakfast programming across Nunavut.

With guidance from an advisory committee, we engaged in a process of information gathering and analysis, leading to the development of a Discussion Document, to guide policymakers in making decisions about future directions for Nunavut’s breakfast programs.

Open2Learn was invited to present the findings of the Breakfast Program Analysis at the Nunavut Food Security Symposium, in January 2013. Prioritizing breakfast programs was one of the key areas for action to promote food security, identified by stakeholders at the Symposium.BP analysis summary_NUFSSrevised
